Legacy Golf Club at Lakewood Ranch offers affordable golf view condominiums and townhomes right on the course. For my clients who strictly want a winter golf getaway that they can “lock and leave”, this is it. There are three distinct communities. On holes 3 and 4 you pass by Watercrest. These are all 3 bedroom 3 bath condominiums with two car underground parking. Excellent golf and lake views. On the back nine, on holes 14 and 15, you will see the townhomes called Miramar. Some are one floor, some two floors. Despite a tough housing climate, new units are still being built. And finally, on holes 16 and 17, you will see Boca Grove, the least expensive, but equally impressive, option. These are all 2 bedroom 2 bath units.

Pat’s Take:
This is an upscale, 18 hole daily fee course that has earned its reputation as one of the premier courses in the area. It is the only course, within Lakewood Ranch proper, that is open to the public. Rather than join The Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club, part time Sarasota/Bradenton residents often choose this pay-as-you-play option as opposed to paying monthly dues while back up north in the summer months. This course is not a step down in quality in any way to the other two Arnold Palmer designs in Lakewood Ranch.
